The Masai are an ancient people who live in the Rift Valley of Africa.  Masai use the Talking Stick as a tool of communication. It is a tradition which allows the holder of the piece to have the complete attention of the group.  In the past the chief was the only one to possess this privilege.  The Talking Stick is now held by all members of the community to ensure that everyone has a chance to be heard.  A wonderful tradition for any family or group.
